Father-daughter team, Tama and Gary Abernathy, are the owners and operators of Abby's Bed-N-Biskit. A business initiated by Tama's life-long love for animals. Tama has always been an animal lover and as a Hendersonville High School student, her first job was at a veterinary clinic. After graduating Tama made the decision to work with her father in a Tom's snack and vending machine business and also became involved with animal rescue work. Anxious for a career, but discouraged by the long years required for becoming a veterinarian, Tama spent two years researching animal business possibilities and financial considerations of owning such a business. The knowledge and experience she acquired, plus her passion for animals convinced Tama, and helped convince her father to open Abby's Bed-N-Biskit together. In August 2004 Abby's finally opened its doors for business and business has been great.
